This is my planning for the digestive system.

The food’s journey to the large intestine.

Have you ever wondered how your food gets into your body? Well today I am going to explain to you how the food gets through.

When the food goes into your mouth the teeth will help it form it into small little bits while the saliva makes the food softer for it to go down the esophagus.

While the food is still going down your esophagus the muscles of your esophagus is pushing and clamping the food down to go to your stomach.

Then the food goes into your stomach and into gastric-acid.  After your food has gone into the acid it turns into liquid then moves to your small intestine.

As soon as possible the food goes to the small intestine it  takes all the good stuff like calcium, iron, protein, vitamins and fiber. It takes that kind of stuff because your body needs it so it can give energy to all your parts of your body.

After the small intestine has taken all the good stuff it moves on to the large intestine and the large intestine takes the salt and water because your body needs the salt and water so it takes it and the waste comes out of your body.
