Effects: On our last visit to Omaru Creek there were things such as metal buckets,aerosol can,rubbish and cigarette buds.	Effects:  We are all hoping that we can all fix up the creek  and make it look nice and clean.

A lady called Anina came to talk to room 8 about how to be smart with your money,she first started off by telling us about her background.  She then taught us how to spend your money wisely,  after we finished our lesson I could now see how people can use their money wisely.

Our topic study is on the Omaru Creek,and I have just read an article that tells me facts about it.  It was said that they found something inside the pipes causing blockage. Things such as fat,oil and wet wipes. When I read that article it was stated that rubbish like that can not break down into water and it will only grow into big clumps.

That is why the residents of the community and the  whole of Glen Innes school will be working together to clean up the the section that is closest to Apirana road,even the younger kids will be doing it.  My class and I just went to visit the stream and I saw a aerosol can,piece of cardboard,metal buckets, moss, sticks/branches, cigarettes,bird feathers,chocolate wrapper and insects.

This is the condition of the creek now, and I am hoping after we do a fix it up with the whole school it will look much more nicer, I also hope that people will treat it nicely and WILL not throw their rubbish inside the creek.  When we arrived there we could seen that the water was no clean and it wasn’t flowing like a normal creek would. What is the Omaru Creek? It is a creek that has been treated like dirt and we have to something about that.

At the moment I am living with my 4 sisters,1 brother .  These are my siblings oldest to youngest, so it goes Auariki,Tuki,Lanu,Siunipa (Me),Mafi,Naia,Martha last and little Teina,Also with my nena,mum and dad.My favourite food is Chocolate cheesecake with chocolate ice cream,the artist I admire a lot is Hailee Steinfeld and here are a few of the songs I like,Sideline,Starving and Beautiful.

The chores I mostly do at home is clean the kitchen, outside and the pool. Then at school I come and put the blinds down and water room 8’s little plants.In class my friends are Heather,Lakai,Natalia,Rebecca and my friends at home are .My favourite food is Chocolate cheesecake and chocolate ice cream.In the weekend I mostly help my mum take care of my baby sister,and also play cards with my sister,we both get competitive when we play with each other.

I love the show Shortland Street, Home and Away, Neighbours. I use to play netball for Glen Innes school and I sometimes watch it on tv with my older sisters.I play alo of card games with my with my younger siblings and I reckon I am the best in my house so, I will have to say I am a star at card games.To show people I care, I will help them if they are in need of my help.  When I grow up I would like to attend Tamaki college because all of my siblings and cousins are there.

Who is my hero ? If I had to pick a hero I would have to say my mum because she has raised me well since I was a newborn baby,and because she makes an effort to get up every morning and make us breakfast, make us a healthy lunch then when we come back from school she has dinner prepared for us.
